Hugo Plazas

Hugo is a principal and founder of Morphosis Canada, and has been involved in developing in-store environments, fixture design, signage, wayfinding, and product designs since 2004. With a degree in Industrial Design and background in Mechanical Drafting and Architecture, Hugo brings design sensitivity with a wide understanding of materials, processes, manufacturing and ergonomics to each project.
Hugo possesses excellent Solidworks® knowledge in sheet metal components, welding features, toolbox, surfacing, complex assemblies, motion study, molding/vacuum forming, and rendering tools.
Throughout his experience in previous companies he has participated in key projects such as the Arizona Cardinals Stadium, Saskatchewan RoughRides Mosaic Stadium, Toronto Pearson Airport, David’s Bridal Store Design, Sephora, Olsen International, Duane Reade, Blackberry and Indigo amongst others.
